How to adjust the current of the rotor automatic line spot welder

Rotor automatic line spot welders previously mainly used AC controllers and AC spot welders. However, AC spot welders suffer from unstable current and a high rate of poor welds, and have gradually been replaced by medium-frequency inverter DC controllers and medium-frequency inverter spot welders. Although replaced, as a veteran product, let's discuss how to adjust the current of a rotor automatic line spot welder.

Rotor automatic line spot welders previously mainly used AC controllers and AC spot welders. However, AC spot welders suffer from unstable current and numerous instances of poor welds, leading to their gradual replacement by medium-frequency inverter DC controllers and medium-frequency inverter spot welders. Despite being replaced, as a veteran product, let's discuss how to adjust the current of a rotor automatic line spot welder.

1. Employ constant power mode control; Using the constant power mode Q = UI avoids the phenomenon of increasing electrode temperature and resistance encountered in constant current mode control, which causes the increase in thermal energy Q = I2Rt. Through the constant power mode Q = UI, thermal energy tends towards equilibrium.
2. Place the two rotor automatic lines used for voltage measurement as close as possible to the positive and negative electrodes. We mainly control the voltage between the positive and negative electrodes, not the voltage of the entire circuit.
3. Change from single-pulse discharge to double-pulse or even triple-pulse discharge (keeping the total discharge time constant), and reduce the power value as much as possible (in practice, keep the current as low as possible). If using pulse discharge, the power value needs to be increased to achieve the required welding heat. Using double-pulse discharge (setting the first pulse discharge value lower and the second pulse discharge value higher in the parameter settings) can significantly reduce the set power value, thus enabling welding to achieve the same required thermal energy. Reducing the power value (current) reduces electrode wear and makes welding more stable. According to Q = I2Rt, increasing the current has a greater impact on heat accumulation, so reduce the current value (power value) as much as possible when setting parameters.
4. Change the tungsten electrode of the spot welder's lower hook to the negative electrode. The current flows from the hook to the tungsten electrode, and "electron migration" reduces the flow of metal atoms to the tungsten electrode, causing electrode fouling and depletion. "Electron migration" refers to the phenomenon of metal atoms moving due to electron flow. Since the moving objects here include metal atoms, it is also called metal migration.
